How to use FBP
This site is a growing living thing for me so I expect this “how to” to expand into a full blown FAQ.
FBP is a lifestyle and training programming model created to establish a sustainable training pattern. What this means is eating clean paleo and pushing hard but not burning your gear (body) up to do so. If you train so hard today that you require a multi-day lay up to recover then you have missed the point.
- A working max is 90% of an actual or theoretical max which you can determine by going here
If your goal is to get stronger and yet maintain conditioning then simply take a look at the movement patterns and have at it.
- Plug your working max into the template and use the percentages in the post to determine what weights you will program for your movements.
- After you hit the heavy skill work take a 5 minute break and then its on to the mixed modal piece. Scale as needed to your ability, crush it and post your time to the comments.

- Go to Robb Wolf’s blog which you will find in the links section as he is the man when it comes to this. My work here so far is simply to show that paleo can be easy. Like what you see? Then emulate that. Don’t like it? Then read someone else’s blog kido.
